MEET STACY

NEW LEADERSHIP DELIVERING RESULTS FOR OUR COMMUNITY

Stacy Besch is a devoted wife, mother, and highly motivated small business owner.  As a dedicated Christian Conservative, Stacy is stepping forward to advocate for the preservation of freedoms and to be a voice of the people. She is running to represent Senate District 5 in the upcoming Republican Primary Election on June 2, 2026.

Stacy has proven her commitment to the state of Iowa through her leadership role as Assistant Director on Team Iowa, personally delivering over 200 presentations dedicated to human trafficking awareness in the last two and a half years. In addition to Team Iowa participation, she also serves as an active member of Empower Rural Iowa, developing leadership programs throughout numerous communities around the state.

Stacy and her husband Al, a local farmer and construction business owner, have deep roots in the Algona community. She has served on numerous boards over the last 30 years with her primary participation within the Algona Chamber of Commerce. She has managed five small businesses throughout her career,

and for the past 25 years has been a continuing  education instructor for many colleges across the state.

Iowa Senate District 5 includes Dickinson County, Emmet County, Kossuth County, Palo Alto County, Winnebago , and the North East corner of Clay county. Stacy has deep roots within the district, with over 100 years of family ties to the area all throughout District 5.

“You may have heard the saying, ‘We are defined by our actions, not our words.”  Stacy hopes to be the voice we’ve been missing, and the catalyst to the action we need.

Stacy’s platform focuses on preserving freedom. She aims to prioritize the gaps we see within our state as they relate to human trafficking awareness. She supports the need for property protection from tax inflation and eminent domain risks. Stacy champions medical freedom for healthcare decisions free from government overreach and defends the Second Amendment for law-abiding citizens.
